SPAM! Kick-off meetings at IVAM and Museum of Fine Arts

We successfully held the Kick-Off Meeting of the project on 10–11 October in Valencia, bringing together the Research Team, the Advisory Board, and the End Users responsible for the two collections under study.

This foundational meeting marked a decisive starting point for the project. Representatives from the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM) and the Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia worked closely with the research team to identify and select the key case studies that will anchor the analytical investigation.

Over two intensive days, the participants engaged in high-level scientific discussion to:Define the core research stagesEstablish analytical prioritiesAlign methodological approachesSet a realistic and well-structured timeline for the upcoming phases.

The meeting provided an exceptional forum for interdisciplinary exchange, ensuring that the project is firmly grounded in both scientific rigor and collection-specific needs. By integrating researchers, advisors, and institutional stakeholders from the outset, the kick-off reinforced a collaborative framework designed to maximize impact, relevance, and feasibility. This milestone not only structured the roadmap of the research but also consolidated a shared vision for advancing analytical study at the highest level within two major museum collections.
